PHA 6131 | Introduction to Physiologically-Based Modeling

“PHA6131 was a very good course, it provides theorical and hands-on experience for most common PBPK tools available and frequently used in pharmaceutical companies and regulatory agencies.”

How was your experience in the course?

“The PHA6131 course was a great experience. My participation in the course allowed me to understand better the role of physiologically-based models (PBPK) at different stages of drug development and regulatory aspects.”

– E.Z.

How was the course structure?

“Particularly, I liked the course structure associating theoretical and practical training. The initial review of pharmacokinetics principles was important considering there is no pre-requisites for the PHA6131 course.”

– E.Z.

“I think this is a great course for the students to learn a lot about PBPK modeling and I can only recommend it!”

How did you find the course structure?

“From my perspective, the introductory lectures given were especially valuable, clearly structured and presented both a nice overview on the scientific and regulatory background among others as well as great details on distribution, elimination and absorption.”

– Lukas

What did you think of the hands-on aspect?

“I think the opportunity to have guided hands-on sessions and additional tasks using different PBPK softwares is great to get to know the softwares. Students that have not yet worked in PBPK modeling can also get an idea of how developing/setting up a PBPK model works.”
